I'm Leni. I want to immanentize a glorious transhuman future. To this end, I work on machine learning, focusing on AI safety. My current research interests lie in scalable oversight and control. I have previously worked on unlearning. In a previous life, I aspired to be a physicist.

Outside of work, I'm writing a glowfic with my partner, practicing calligraphy, and reading. I mostly read non-fiction. Lately, I've been particularly interested in the military history of World War II and Indo-European historical linguistics. I also enjoy fiction (especially short stories) and poetry: my favorite writers are Jorge Luis Borges and William Blake.
